How banks in the Netherlands advertise in Q2 2026

Channels: Meta

Rabobank remains the market leader despite a 15.0% decline, while Triodos (+408%) and bunq (+172%) were the fastest growers of the quarter. Total reach rose 10.1% and active ads climbed 56.4% — almost all of it fresh Q2 creative, as carry-over dropped from 26.0% (Q1) to 10.6%. The World Cup dominated June, with peak week 24 driven almost entirely by Oranje-themed brand activations.

Chinese brands are the biggest story of Q1: +62% share of voice in a single quarter. EV and hybrid messaging now accounts for 64% of all impressions. Ford Netherlands collapsed from market leader to position 16 in one quarter.
